About Bowel Cancer
Bowel cancer affects the large bowel, which is made up of the colon and rectum. It is this country’s fourth most common form of cancer. If diagnosed early enough, bowel cancer is often curable.
Receiving an accurate and detailed diagnosis is the start of your treatment journey. We use the latest diagnostic technologies and approaches to investigate symptoms as well as ascertaining what stage the cancer is at and pinpointing its location. Once treatment is underway, diagnostic testing enables us to check its effectiveness so we can introduce different approaches if necessary and, after treatment is completed, we use follow-up testing to ensure that the cancer has not returned.
